Cooling TowersCooling
Towers are specialized heat rejection devices used
to remove excess heat from operations or building systems in industrial and
commercial environments. They work on the evaporative cooling concept, in which
water is pumped through the tower and exposed to ambient air. Water absorbs
heat from the process or system as it evaporates, cooling it down. The cooled
water is then recirculated, while the heated air is sent into the atmosphere.
Cooling towers are critical for maintaining appropriate temperatures in power
plants, HVAC systems, industrial processes, and other applications that require
heat dispersion. Cooling Towers are
classified into three types: natural draught, forced draught, and induced
draught, each with its own set of design characteristics and advantages. |
